A Cold and Crisp 35 Degrees

We have buildings made of river gravel which cannot be moved or blown up. You cannot drill into it as it will burn up your drill bit. You will need a star drill bit and a lot of patients.

42 degrees and rain
42 degrees and a steady rain. This steady rain will soak this area of the planet and the warmth will grow plants. The plant and grass growth will absorb and drink the water and no water will run off to the streams and creaks.
I have been trying to read all I can about Kentucky's win over Louisville. Tough game.
I remember that in the beginning of the year there was no fouling in the way Kentucky played. And now the reefs are letting Kentucky opponents be hard and physical. I know that Kentucky can play both ways but letting them go nuts in the NCAA is crazy.

56 degrees

I have been planning to change my lawn mower blades for a while now but cool weather has put a stop to it. It may be warm enough today to complete the job.
I feel good and so does mom (Laurel).
Laurel bought a blood pressure machine to keep up with her blood pressure. Some nurse said to take it 3 times a day but the doctor said that once a week was good enough.
We were told to relax 10 minutes before taking the blood pressure. The idea is great as that eases the anxiety plus it teaches the body to relax.
I am so laid back no one ever needed to tell me to relax. Far Out Dude.

Fhursday Evening
Good Evening.
Windy and 60 degrees. We have spent the days cleaning up. I still need to do laundry. We do our own laundry.
I hay four bales of straw in the truck. I plan to plant potatoes under the straw. Hill the potatoes and place strw around the hills. The potatoes form under the straw making them easy to harvest.

22 Degrees
The rain and snow has left the area. I am not sure about the wind? The Weather Channel says no wind and I did not move to the door and see!
It is quiet here at 0430. The cats are actively jumping about. I feel good mentally and physically. Age has placed limits on my body and the doctor's keep telling me, If it hurts, "Don't do it!"
Again it is quiet here at home. This is one of the luxuries of living in a warm home in a quiet neighborhood.
I have misspelled 10 words so far and my Google sensors have underlined the words. If I move my mouse over the word I get an option of what words to use.

Where is the flaw in Tea Party Thought
The Preamble says: We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
The preamble says "we the people" is the government whether it is our bureaucracy or the man laying in the gutter.
The Tea Party has a distaste for the bureaucracy and perhaps wants to change it's name or merely change the way food is placed on tables. You cannot have small government with our bureaucracy when we are the government. We are always placing food trays out for plants, animals and other beings on the planet. That is beyond we the people. We have structure, human or edifice that lays the trays out.
I think the Tea Party wants to ,
"Dictate to the People!" or worse no structure.
There are 313.9 million people in the United State and they are, "We the People"

Basketball players come to Kentucky knowing that every practice and game will be the greatest and if you beat Kentucky your school will move up a notch in your basketball teams hall of fame.
I have only been in Kentucky 50 years and it has always been that way.
26 Degrees?
Yes 26 degrees. This is one of those mornings when I felt blah and did not want out of bed. It is one of those days where I really do not want to think or be bombarded with other peoples problems.
It is a rare moment for this mind that is so hopeful, not too understanding, but hopeful. I am normally thick skinned where death is off out of my way. My mind is normally take care of family and screw the planet. I take care of what is here. I am happy to be in the place provided. But this morning there is only blah and I do not want to blog or run over to facebook, build websites for other folks or even exits. The cheerful state of being is being bombarded with useless noises. Where a rats ass is full of crap.
Time heals all wounds and soon I will want to clean and care.

Good Morning

Laurel and I are spending a quiet morning surfing the net, enjoying our company, each other and the cats.
Today is Sunday the last day of the SEC Tournament with # 1 Florida and The University of Kentucky competing for the Southeastern Conference title. I am rooting for Kentucky but what I have seen with Florida this year Kentucky has a slim chance of winning.
Today is also a NASCAR day in Bristol Tennessee but rain seems to be the headline there.

Good Morning

I have been gifted with a beautiful mind but spelling and grammar are not on the list at this moment in time. Something happened to me and I do sometimes blame my efforts to learn on my past. I do not know if it was the stress of seeing something I was not supposed to see, or getting run over by a car while crossing the street (I awoke in a hospital bed), or getting hit with a baseball bat in the face while going back to class in elementary school at the bell. Whatever! Some things I seem never to remember and it annoys Laurel that I remember the craziest tales but never seem to conquer the art spelling and grammar.

The March winds did come in like a lion. The first thing I just did a few minutes ago was to catch our trash cans ( they really are a tough plastic). The trash cans were moving fast and it took some energy to catch, return, hold them and tie them down.

Good Afternoon
I change the battery on my LX 176 John Deere Riding Mower; I also changed the oil and oil filter, air filter and gas filter. The spark plug I put in last fall so it is good for now. Tomorrow I will tackle and replace the two blades on the mower deck.
Good Morning

The temperature is in the 40's at time of morning. I just had my second cup of coffee (really mug) and I had a terrible dream while I napped here in my chair and woke up with a coffee hangover headache.
The dream was funny and really said something about my abilities at 72.
Here is the dream.
I loaded two uneven timbers on saw horses ((10" X 15" and 13" X 18") both were about 15' long). Remember that this is a dream I had a few minutes ago. I had a floor sander on top of the timbers and I was sanding the timbers smooth. The one that was higher than the other had a deep round rut in it where I let the sander sit for a moment (apparently a senior moment). While I was looking at the timbers some 8 years old's ran off with both timbers and I stood there just flabbergasted.
That was the dream. My dreams are not smoothly edited or cut properly; my dreams move time and moments in strange time space jumps.
My headache is gone and I am just about ready to go outside and work on the lawn mower.

Good Morning

It was also a nice visit.
Monday Morning, it is 34 degrees outside this morning. It is warm out and the snow is about gone and I can get into my shed this morning. I have a tire (I had a tube put into a rear flat tire) and a new battery to put on my mower. I also have a tune up kit (oil, oil filter, spark plug, gas filter and air cleaner filter) to put in/on the riding mower.
It is very wet and muddy out in the yard. Maybe this week if I find a dry spot I can till a row or two for lettuce and young spinach. I took the fence (half of it) down it looked pretty crappy.

We have been busy with NARFE and a general cleanup of a closet. We do have stuff in "Layabout" at the moment but most will be tidied up to look presentable.

Good Afternoon
I have been busy with NARFE matters all day and just now decided to quit for the day. I went out and shoveled some ice that has melted and become easier to shovel (It did not take too long), It does not take long to look at a horse shoe!. Boy one minute of breaking ice is all I want or can do after being busy all day with NARFE.

Good Morning
We have fog and 31 degrees outside this morning. Ice is still there on the front walk. I did break some off our walkway yesterday and I plan to break more today.
I haven't said how I feel lately and my health is good. I do rest after work (15 minutes then rest) I have the stamina to work longer but my back give me a sign in my thigh when it is time to rest. One good trip around Walmart is about it for me. I then head for the old timers bench to tell lies.
Laurel has the stamina to work hours but then stops exhausted. Good Jewish and Russian stock.
She looks 50.
Laurel and I have been putting pictures back on the walls and cleaning dust bunnies away from cubby-holes and closets. It is time for us to say good-bye to things we thought would be useful some day. Our garage is a good, "Garage Sale" and we will do that to earn extra money.

Breaking Ice and Snow Blowing/Polishing Ice
I moved some snow with the snowblower. My driveway is clear at the moment. My walk near our front window has a good 1 12" sheet of ice on it that I have to break. It breaks like concrete breaks which is never and with a lot of jarring bones and your shovel bounces up.
I do have a pick but it is out in the ice covered shed. Maybe I may have a steel bar in the garage? A hammer and chisel will work.

Sleet at 7AM
Get a shovel and clean in front of your door. Our door was frozen shut with sleet. I had to dig a path for the door to swing open. I had to dig out to take this photo. The streaks are sleet but now as I write we have snow flakes.
