It Rained this Morning

Good Morning,

It rained this morning; not very much but just enough to steam up this area of the planet. Tomato's love this hot humid air and they are the best grown in this environment.

Mom is up and I do not know whether she is hurting or not. I am fine.
We went swimming yesterday afternoon. We tried the day before but it rained. The kitten is outside enjoying the high humidity.
The tree at left is just down the road a piece.

The Photo at Left

Good Morning,

It was 69 degrees outside this morning and our deck was wet. Yesterday we went out to go swimming and while out there (before we went into the pool) it started to rain. So off and on since then it has rained here at home. I can assume that is why the temperature was 69 degrees.

Laurel is sleeping in at the moment. I feel good mentally and physically; Laurel has been hurting no matter what she does. Sleep takes her mind off the pain. I am thinking about the photo at left. Sometimes you may try just about anything to relieve pain and suffering. Somewhere in our things there may be a knee brace Laurel used while trying to support her knee some years ago. We also have an Ace bandage someplace in our home.

Good Morning 8 26 2014

I woke up sore, but it is the work on cleaning the pool. I was thinking about how close we are to having Internet service on our Television set. It is getting close but not there yet. I remember that the Commodore 64 had a long cord to the television and it worked well. We have some content but our industry is moving every where but twax. We had VHS, cassette, CD, Hard Drive, Intel, Hewlett Packard, Sony, Netflix and HBO but no one has come close to content TV and the Internet. No one knows what to think.
I have a laptop and a TV, I have an All in One and a TV. I have a Telephone and that carries a DSL signal but does not combine my local phone to the Internet, They just use the same cable.
Wait a minute my Smart Phone works with the Internet but no TV.

Good Morning

Our Internet service was down this morning but came back up very quickly. We are so redundant it is remarkable.

I updated my computer. I do this about once a month to eliminate all the spam that enters via Cut Back Tree Frequencies.

Pool Party

Good Morning,
We had a wonderful weekend and Pool Party. I asked for peace and quiet and I was given the time and quiet. We played the famous laugh game where you look at each other without breaking into a smile and Laurel, Allison and I laughed every time. Natasha and Talon were the big winners. That was fun. We went swimming Sunday and it was great. I even took a video of it but the video was not that great with my Smart Phone.
I want to thank everyone for the wonderful thoughts on our Birthdays (Natasha and I).
Talon was going under water without much fear as his mom taught him to stay afloat without a life jacket. Natasha and Eliana were regular fish in the water. Laurel's back was still hurting in the pool. Jason did not go into the pool but I have a great photo of him playing with Talon in the pool

Got Stung

Good Morning,
While cleaning the pool yesterday I got stung by a red wasp that was trying to get out of the pool. The wasp swam for my white "T" shirt and missed; it hit my arm and promptly stung me. I did not do anything about it as I was cleaning the pool. When I did get out of the pool a welt was raised on my bicep where I got stung and it proceeded to travel into my body. I still have a welt this morning but it is spread out farther and it feels stiff, it itches and feels warm.
Mentally I am fine. I do plan on going into the pool later this afternoon.

Pool

I have not been in the pool for a while now so I do not know how dirty or warm it is?
This is an old photo so the pool and the deck do not look this nice. Time lags and drips and my maintenance is not up to snuff.

Yep

Good Morning,
Some days you have nothing to say. The sore back I awoke with is not lingering in this lazy boy. I do have a cup/mug of coffee here close. The cats are all quiet and our home is comfortable. I know the humidity is high outside and this home prolongs my life style. You know I pay for services; this home I own has air conditioning, a furnace, piped in city water, piped in natural gas, electricity, the Internet, satellite TV and 3/4 of an acre of land. I have worked hard to get these services. I have something else that is quite remarkable and that is a pension. Part of the pension pays for is health services. I do not qualify for Social Security but I did pay into Medicare from the beginning.
There is something else I have and that is an army surrounding me with it's shield. I hear no tanks coming over the horizon.
Here in the south we have something else to protect our citizens and that is not spoken.

The Big Blue Nation

Good Morning,
It is raining and we did hear thunder and see lightning very early this morning. It is just raining hard now. It is 72 degrees inside and outside.
***
I have been watching the Cats play on the SEC Network these last few days. The Network looks like it will be a big hit. It seems that the Network will not be big enough for the powerful teams on board.

Light Rain

Good Morning,
It is raining very lightly outside. You can go out with getting damp at the moment. It looks as if rain is on its way. This RADAR shows the rain moving in a SW direction. We are in that path.
***
I know that there will come a time when we will not be able to care for the pool, feed the hummingbirds, finches, cats, straw dogs and skunks. It is not far off as I speak. At the moment typing is more my speed that digging/manual labor. Laurel is fighting hard to be Laurel but her back says no. My back allows me to walk a little, sit a lot, play in the pool, carry some groceries and putter.
I find this computer to be sustainable ( mentally speaking ) to my thought style. My life style is watching time move across my view. I am an old fart.

The skunks are stinking up our home now and they are not wanted. I will put up a barrier and ask them to leave or just stops stinking.

Our little kitten got fixed. We took some of the spark out of her for the moment. Just for the moment.

Pool Back Together

Good Morning,
I am testing the pool, shocking the pool and making it presentable. It looked green last night so I gave it a dose of algicide to clear up the condition. The shock will also help clear up the condition. It will take a couple of days and everything will look great.

Good Morning

I am trying to get the pool pipes back together. I have to temporarily place them back together. A lot of cut and paste. I will have to do it all over again next year if I have a solar heater. The way it will be fixed now is just a good temporary fix.
It is hot out this morning. This morning we took Bandit to the vet as she is in heat or seems to be in heat. I will not apologize unless something goes haywire. I am cooling off because of the heat outside.
I will go out shortly and resume my fix on the pool.

No Update on Pool Yet

Good Morning, I had a pool valve turned on wrong. I will go online and view the labels to my filter; ours are worn off. I will work on the pool tomorrow; we have other chores today. I thought we needed a new liner (big leak) but I had left one valve open. Below are two views of my labels. Hopefully I can come back here when I am in doubt.
I feel good mentally and physically. I cannot walk too far. I would like to apologize to anyone I have not offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

Why it is some religions
are teaching their children
to kill in the name of god.

I am the LORD your God.”
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD your God in vain”
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy”
Honor thy father and thy mother”
Thou Shalt Not Kill”
Thou shalt not commit adultery”
Thou shalt not steal”
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor”
Thou shalt not covet…”

Why it is some religions are teaching their children to kill in the name of god.

Thunder,Lighning and Rain

Good morning,
Thunder, lightning and rain woke me up early this morning I am not sure.what time it was it may have been 3 am; anyway I am up.
My head feels as though it has water and warmth in my sinuses. No heavy headache just an overwhelming feeling of not much sleep. I am not tired just mmmupth?!
Mentally I feel great.

Good Morning

It is Raining in Western Kentucky; it is a quiet and steady rain, just something to water this part of the planet, no violent confrontations with filth or chemicals in our local atmosphere.
I feel good this morning.
I had to replace my operating system on my laptop because it got hacked by one of those folks that borrow your update package and replaces your browser page.
Here is my normal Browser Page.

Mowed

Good Morning,
My back is sore this morning. I guess that is normal for mowing the grasses. I do not say lawn as I have an assortment of grasses growing around our home. I used to cut it 3" tall then I went to 2". I found 2" too severe so I went to 2 1/2". I may go back to 3" as our area of grasses winters nicely at 3".

Positive Thinking

August 4, 2014

Good Morning,
It is nice and cool outside this morning. Why do I constantly say the same thing over and over again; don’t I have any flavors of life to color my mind other than the “Good Morning it is nice out today”?
There is a message and it goes back to propaganda,  Pavlov, The movie, “The Manchurian Candidate, Jesus, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, The Power of Positive Thinking, Moses and the Ten Commandments and the 1960’s.
What I do is place the mind where it belongs, as in:

A point of view:
Sometimes our thoughts are compiled into a point of view.
You know the thoughts about what we think of the world as it stands today.
But there is another point of view.
A simple point of view, a view we sometimes forget about because it is always there, always available.
It is the point of view that we see when we first wake up.
Or the point of view we see when we look out at the world to see what is before us.
It may be a garden out back, a working crew viewed through an open window,
a sandy beach with a red horizon, and a blacktop road at fifty miles per hour.
It is a deliberate choice that we make to put us in our proper perspective with our environment.
I can vision my body going out into a meadow and closing my eyes.
Standing still and then opening my eyes for the first time.
Absorbing the texture and colors in my point of view.
The thoughts moving through my mind are the colors, textures and smells of my surroundings.
A point of view.

***

I sat on the plane writing this thought:
How many of us live in a safe haven? Our protective shell, our home in a nutshell. Peace and safety surrounding our being. How does this cave of modern times differ from the time of bears breaking into our cabin and confronting us? We still deal with earthquakes, rains and tides but our relative safety is quite good. How did we ever get to this place of comfort where the local government does not pry into our being? We hear about the rampage but the flooded waters move elsewhere.
+
As the plane landed a strange site appeared in my view. People were standing like statues looking like an abstract painting in orange. Some stood on bandanas, some on rifles. They were scattered about like droppings from a plane.
So what is going on I ask? Someone handed me a folded paper with writing on it. The paper said,
"Orders from a higher authority:"
The sun was hot. Heat wavered over the red earth. The shine of wet skin could be seen for miles. Our higher authority had given the order. The earth looked like hell. For as far as you could see they had come, so there they stood. Most were in agony. The physical and mental adjustments were excruciating. Bodies were shaking internally. They were ordered to stand still and at attention, so they stood. Acres of aches stood still. Emotion reverberated in their minds but they had orders. They would stand until they got it right.
A lifetime of hate was being forced to the surface. He was ordered to stand still. He was told that peace would come. He was wired like steel. He had the strength to endure this pain and he would. He was ordered to do so. He stood like a statue, with his weapon or bandana under his feet.
Peace and Goodwill Prevail.
These orders came from a higher authority.
***
They must stand still for peace.
You can go to work and slay beef, fowl or pork and not too many folks will say what you do is evil. You provide a service for the folks in your neighborhood. You can on occasion just decide you have had enough and call work and say, “I won't be in today." You take the day off and enjoy what life gives you. You made a decision, a simple decision.
The folks in the West and Middle East can lay their weapons down on the ground and stand on them at attention. They can contemplate peace. They can stand thirty soldiers deep. They can stand and think and do nothing but fight for peace in their solitude. They can stand erect until every muscle in there body aches for peace. They can let every killing emotion pass through their system of thought. They can stand still until peace comes over their bodies. Some will want to strangle the veined throat of their neighbor but they must stand still for peace. This is a very painful process as they look down at their killing weapons. They must follow orders they are now soldiers for peace. They must stand still for peace."
***
"Confucius thought that a ruler who had to resort to force had already failed as a ruler",
so that is where the world is now. We are standing in the timeline of violence.
When one man stands still and ends the violence another man will shoot him off the pedestal of peace.
How many men will die for nothing?
This is what they can do.
They must stand still for peace.
"Orders from a higher authority:"

Rain or Shine?

Good Morning,

It is 67 degrees outside this morning; our chance of rain is slim. It seems as though it could rain at this moment. I feel fine this morning. Laurel seems to be fine sitting in a chair, a bed or lazy boy bother her as does the pool. We did not do much yesterday but visit via FaceBook, read books and listened to music. Mom did put a quilt she bought at a yard sale on the bed in Allison’s room.

I did mention before that the kitten goes up and down trees. She never gives it a thought she just travels fast it any direction.

Today is Sunday or as I call it from time to time ,”The Sun Day” ; we do not owe the sun anything but it does provide the planet earth through circumstance heat that gives an environment to live in. I understand that we evolved to use the energy of the sun and what our environment provides as far as living conditions go. We have found out that the astronauts in space evolve quickly and do not need support as in bones in space. Food does not go down as it does on the planet.

Colors

Good Morning,
Laurel and I traveled to Murray to have lunch with Allison.  She was meeting a college friend who now lives in Kansas City. I forgot which state. Anyway we had a good time meeting her friends and family.
We had to cut our shopping trip short as mom and I just do not travel well; as we get very uncomfortable walking. Our backs do strange things to our legs. We are almost getting ready for carts. I can go about a quarter of a mile then ops grandpa stops. Laurel has shooting pains when she stands; owe.
Next year we are going to hire our mowing done as we do not yard work well.
This year the mowing season is short. Our grass is not growing. It is green and short and there it sits.
I love the color in the photo at left.
