Good Morning

The sun is just about to light the day. When I looked out it was raining in the darkness. The sky is still gray with clouds.

I spent the day yesterday at a NARFE meeting a Miss Scarlett's. It rained the whole day.
Today I catch up on the pool cleaning. Because the winter cover turned over into the pool I ended up with a real mess in cold water. Because of the persistence rain I could not clean the pool for a week which turned a disaster into a real problem. I am going to have to suck up and jump into the pool to do a good job. I am sure I'll catch some social disease by doing so.

Happy Birthday Patricia

Hidden Treasure

I heard that the Obama administration is going after the money United States Citizens have hidden in off shore banks to avoid paying taxes.

I wonder how many Presidents and 1st Ladies have "Hidden Treasures" buried off shore?

This morning on C-Span I heard some folks squealing on their call-in lines when the subject was mentioned.

See Obama Find the Hidden Treasures.

The Sun Day

Today is Sunday a day named after the Sun. God created this planet plus some other stuff; on the 7th day he rested. Today is the 7th day.
Take a break...
Rest.....
Watch a nice sunrise or sunset....
Sit by the sea....
Sit by the lake...
Gaze at a flower....
Rest....

I am in the process of placing our TV on our living room wall. The receiver is the black box on the bottom; it is too confined where it is at and will go where the TV is. Our receiver in our cabinet heated up and needs more air so I will have to place it out in the open and not confined as it is now. That means raising the TV up off the table it is sitting on; then I will place the receiver where the TV was. The TV goes up about a 22 inches.

This photo was taken on Mt. Zion Cemetery Road high up almost at the top of Crittenden County. Most of the Amish Folk live in the northern sections of the county. We had just left the bakery and nursery ( fried apple pies and full grown tomato plants for my upside down planters).
This is on top Mt. Zion Cemetery Road. The two faint hills in the background are Illinois at Cave in Rock. Below and just before the two hills is the Ohio River at Lock and Dam 50.

The torrential rain has filled the pool to the brim and at this moment I am letting some of it go out onto the lawn.
Motherkitty ans I spent half the day yesterday at a AARP 55 ALIVE Driver Safety Program. I have done 4 of these programs in my lifetime. Two by the federal government and two by AARP. All of them are great; they keep you up to date mentally and physically for the challenge of driving.
The rain let up for a moment and now it is coming down hard again; the forecast is for torrential rain. We spent the afternoon yesterday up in Amish country (the northern portion of Crittenden County) taking photos of the landscape.
