I heard that the Obama administration is going after the money United States Citizens have hidden in off shore banks to avoid paying taxes.
I wonder how many Presidents and 1st Ladies have "Hidden Treasures" buried off shore?
This morning on C-Span I heard some folks squealing on their call-in lines when the subject was mentioned.

Good bye to all businesses that have moved their companies overseas to take advantage of cheaper labor costs, if this happens. They will just move their headquarters completely out of the United States. Why remain?
ReplyDeleteIf I was a business woman I'd move my company completely out of the U.S. and just sell my products back to the U.S. like China does.
I personally don't see why you would have to pay taxes on goods you make overseas. That's like me working in Berea and having to pay city taxes to Lexington. I can see big business's point.
note* since you brought up my swiss bank account, not to worry...I moved all my money to a safer location.
I am thinking that medicare is paid by taxes. If those people that avoid paying taxes paid their fare share then we all could have a cheaper premium with more coverage.
