Word Sense-Tence

Sometime before I retired from the dam I decided to try not to quote any one  if I could and maybe write my own thoughts. My thoughts are not always great but sometimes I surprise myself and sometimes I do not understand what I wrote but know that when I wrote it, it was grand. I also realized that I could put any arrangement of words together and not follow the prescribe solutions of society and still makes sense.

Pool Spell Checker

Good Morning,

Mom was up when I got up at 0500. I think she is in the computer room. It is 68 degrees outside this morning; I feel good mentally and physically and I use the spell checker every morning because I constantly misspell physically. I do like computers for that reason. If I was writing on paper I would be thumbing through a dictionary constantly and if I was using a typewriter I would be wasting a lot of paper. This computer and Google correct my spelling as I go or underlines the misspelled words.

I wrote letters and printed them and sent them off in the mail for NARFE yesterday morning; after lunch I got into the pool and cleaned it. I have been battling a heavy dose of algae this past 7 days. It looked a lot better yesterday and I will hop in the pool today and clean it again. I have been flipping my cover every day in these last four days to insure my potions clean the cover as well. Our pool does look better than the pool we swam in the other day in Murray and it is warmer at 82 degrees. I am getting some extreme exorcise cleaning the pool without any bad after effects other than being sore.

We went to the doctor's this morning at 0830 and mom had her stitches taken out then we ate breakfast and then grocery shopping. We just got home and I am sweating like a dripping faucet. I am cooling as I sit here then I will go into the pool and clean it up and relax in the pool.

We both just got out of the pool for me it was relaxing but for mom it was painful; I was kind of hoping it would do her good; I am not always right.

Lotta Rain

Good Morning,

We have lots of rain here at home. Almost too much rain. The river is up and that means backwater will fill bottoms and local roads.We normally twice a week in the Spring but this year we are mowing twice a week in the Summer.

We measured 2 inches the 1st day of rain; 1/2 inches the 2nd day and 1 1/2 inches the 3rd day and that added up to 4 inches in the last four days.

Good Morning,

It is raining hard at the moment; I did mow and cleaned the pool yesterday. I will clean the pool again today if it stops raining. I feel good this morning, mentally and physically, I am sore because I scrubbed the pool but that is good exorcise. in the water. I do mom's stretching exorcises in the morning before getting out of bed to avoid pulling muscles when I bend to brush my teeth; that was when I normally pulled a muscle on average. The rain has not let up.We have a dry ditch normally between our homes in our neighborhood and when it rains like this it flows heavy with rain. We also have a spring under our home that runs heavy in these times. Heavy clay keeps our yard in place.

Wet and Lush

Good Morning,
We spent the weekend at Murray with our daughter and family, we enjoyed swimming, watching a concert and the fireworks in the park.
When we got home our pool was green.We spent the evening scrubbing and vacuuming the pool.
I feel good this morning mentally and physically.
I want to mow today because tomorrow it is going to rain. But it is so lush and wet outside and mom says I will never be able to mow. Maybe I will just mow where I can.

I was looking at our living room and the way we have it set up with an assorting of furniture it looks like the inside of a rocket ship with cats, lint, pillows and dander.

Pool Tips and Pizza

Good Morning,

I had to go to town and get an extension cord and place on my pool pump because the old plug in needs replacing and I could not get an electrician to fix it in this short bit of time. This is the set up I started with but the old pump had an on/off switch on it and this one does not. The original set up had a timer on it, so I put the timer back on because it has an on/off switch on it.

I just came in just before starting this post and I am about ready to go back out and replace the worn out pool pump plug. Hopefully that will fix it temporarily until we get the normal wiring done. At the moment it is a "Back Yard Repair Job".

I just got out of the pool; I cleaned the bottom of the pool yesterday so today I moved the steps and cleaned under them. I am going to keep after that job (cleaning under the steps) so as to keep my algae bloom under control. I just about have to clean everyday this time of year.
Mom is fixing a pizza as I type.

Cherry Tomato

Allison and mom planted a Cherry Tomato up by the stoop and it is getting out of hand. I cropped the photo to show just one-third of the plant. Placing the whole photo would take up the whole screen. The tomato plant is just now starting to give us cherry tomatoes. Plus it is raining, "Oh my god what in the world is going to happen up front here!"

Mama and Baby Skunk

Good Morning,

70 degrees outside this morning; I feel good Mentally and physically. We went to Paducah yesterday and got some pool supplies plus mom had a dental appointment. We ate Chinese then came home; at home I shocked the pool and placed algaecide into the pool. I will check the pool at daylight and see how well I am doing.

Mom went outside this morning and she saw a mama and baby skunk out on the road in front of our home.

I checked the pool this morning and got my T shirt damp because it was raining lightly and by the looks of the radar it will rain some more. Allison and mom planted a Cherry tomato up front by the stoop and it is getting huge.
