Most of you were not born during this time but at this time period the Reagan Administration was not in the business of having a large overwhelming government so he cut back on doing things that were normally done prior to his administration. He started the cut backs in paying for services which one was dredging out reservoirs and by not doing so the Corps of engineers were not able to keep the water away from cities; since most of you were not born then you do not remember that type of maintenance.
Today you can blame the United States Government for not doing something.
You do remember that the Republicans Administration at the moment does not do what the country needs.
