I'm spiritual but not religious' is a cop-out

I disagree with this notion.
Organized religion wants something of an individual for their help. Join us they say and give your money or your time for us.
That is the same thing the Pharaohs asked of the slaves that built the pyramids, "Do it for me your god!"

Individual spirituality is just between the human being and god. Of course it is nice to help another being but that is a something between man and society or man and organized religion.
