They say America's Farmers are getting too much money from the United States Federal Government. You hear everyone calling for less regulation and for the government to mind their own business.
Do you know anything about what happened in the 1930's in what is called the Dust Bowl?
The Federal government pays farmers to rotate crops and has an extensive program to keep America's Farmlands green. It is called soil conservation and the Natural Resources Conservation Service does the job of making sure that farmers follow these procedures. The best way to protect the farm lands of America is to pay the farmers. Do you think that farmers would follow these guidelines on their own?
Good reading about the minds of farmers is the book The Grapes of Wrath by John Stienbeck; the movie is also as visual as the book.
My dad worked for The Civilian Conservation Corps after high school  to solve a lot of the problems of the land in the 1930-40's.

Today we have an unemployment problem and our United States President has a plan to solve that but the Congress will not approve it because our President is Black. We certainly would not want a black man to stand in Abraham Lincoln's Shoes. They would rather go back to this below than elect a black man to a second term as United States President.
