I am of Latin Descent where my grandparents came via Texas and California (Old Mexico).
I was always in the place of mind that the border between Mexico and the United States did not apply to those folks born in Old Mexico.
In my mind as I was growing up in California was that the border was for the United States Citizen and not folks of Mexican American descent.
I can understand the fuss today as drug cartels are stepping into the limelight and setting foot where ever they please through force.
How do you deal with them without stepping on my foot? I guess you go undercover into Old Mexico.
