The Sun Day

It is Sunday morning and it is 71 degree inside and 32 degrees outside. Mom is home and the television is blaring loudly as I type. Overwhelming is my choice of words for this Sunday morning. I prefer the quiet of the machines to start my days. I use this computer to see the words of others on this planet. Some are political, some are scientific, some make me laugh and some just say hello and offer the loving greetings of morning. Television offer information plus the propaganda of commercialism. As a source of information it is only one way, it tells what it wants you to know and if you do not like it turn if off. My computer offers a blank page and asks me to give you the colors of my morning view in Western Kentucky. My computer is also quiet. I do have a choice to crank up the songs or keep them quiet so the prayer of understanding my position on this planet can be understood. It takes a while to understand why I am here but it is a task I enjoy by seeing what I see and having the white cat rub my leg in acknowledgment.

Mom turned off the TV.

Our grass outside is green is some places and a mixture of dead winter grass and new growth. Some buds are showing on trees and bushes. The sky is overcast and gray and there is no breeze. The wind did blow hard during last weeks thunderstorms and my pool cover billowed like a dome over the pool. All is quiet and still this morning.
I do hear ringing in my ears but I have no clue as to whether it is the sound of technology or just ringing in my ears. I do hear motors turning fans and pumps pumping water over falls.
At times the cicadas make this ringing sound but not today.

Last week I did re-pot my tomato plants into gallon pots, I put them deep in the pots with plenty of room for more soil. I covered each pot with clear plastic wrap halfway across the top to heat the soil, but still offer the plants some fresh air.
I talked to a gardener about the deer problem and he said to use a chicken wire fence that leans 45 degrees.

  1. Good Morning. It sounds like you just might get some tomatoes from your plants this year with the chicken wire idea.
Have a wonderful day in the peace and quiet of your home. We'll probably be home all day today as well, not sure yet.
    Love you.
