The insurance companies we see everyday insure the government employees very well because we have a 22,000,000 member base to work with. As a group we are strong and we hold the price down with quality insurance. Can you imagine what our rates would be if 310,000,000 people ask for a group rate.It would be the same as you pay now but with better coverage for more people.
That is what the president wanted but the Republican party and the insurance companies did not want.
That raised hell and the T-Party was born.
Your government insurance is too high in price right now and in a previous post I heard you say that you were getting an increase starting in January and that you would be paying approx. $15,000 a year for health insurance....Who can afford that? Not me!
