It rained very hard overnight. It rained all night and it is still raining. We live on high ground but the rain flows by on its way to the creek. We have an underground river under our home it never comes to the surface but we hear and see it down in our crawdad holes. Our crawdads are brownish black and about 5 inches long. Our cats sit and wait for them to come to the surface. I never see them eat a crawdad but I see them swat at them. They (the crawdad) do have a big pincher.
I have to go out and let some water out of the pool. I will wait until it lets up. time to go to the weather radar.
I went over to the NASA photos of the oil spill and also went out and emptied about 3 inches of water from the pool.

  1. Our crawdads are red like lobsters and they have BIG pincher's. Our cats swat them around until they get pinched and that's the last time they pay any attention to a crawdad.

It began raining today and has rained very hard on and off all day. It's rained enough to cause some minor flooding in the lowest part of our yard.
