Optional Government Health Care Available Today

1. FEHBP Open Season: Federal Employees Health Benefits Program gives government employees and Congressmen a government health care option.
2. The US Department of Veterans Affairs: The US Department of Veterans Affairs provides patient care and federal benefits to veterans and their dependents including health care.
3. Medicare: Medicare is the federal health insurance program that covers most people age 65 and older. Some younger people who are disabled or who have End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure) are also eligible for coverage.
4. Medicaid: If you can't afford to pay for medical care. Medicaid is available only to certain low-income individuals and families. Medicaid is a state administered program.
5. Children's Health Insurance Program: Health care coverage for children in the United States.
6. Tricare: Government Health care for the Military.


Number 1 is the Democratic Party's government option proposed for everyone in the United States.
The Republican's in Congress that have this insurance oppose it for the entire nation.
