Big City Machines

68 and partly cloudy.
In this day and age news, humor and gossip travel extremely fast. Our national newspapers cannot keep up with it so they disappear. Local gossip, humor and news has a more personal slant to it so local newspapers keep publishing.
Will someone pay a reporter to write an in-depth article and publish it online?
As cheap as labor is at the moment no one will pay anyone anything.
I find it hard to believe that folks are still spending money to eat out or to go to the movies. We certainly cannot afford those luxuries.

  1. We eat out everyday because it's cheaper. We can't fix an elaborate meal with everything for such a low cost as a restaurant can provide us. They buy food in quantity and if we did that it would spoil before it got eaten. Besides eating out lets us eat a variety of different foods everyday.

Today Jimmy has a regularly scheduled doctors visit. Nothing is wrong...it's just a checkup to make sure that nothing is going wrong and to catch anything early just in case there is a problem of which there is not.

We will probably go to the movies after Jimmy's appointment and then eat out at Red Lobster to celebrate Ron's birthday today. We are just sorry that Ron can't join us, but he'll be there in spirit. Red Lobster has always been our customary place to celebrate birthdays but I have grown to love Texas Roadhouse and Cheddars as well lately.

    It's beautiful here today.

    love you

  2. Very nice & big printing offices. It's too bad that they will eventually become obsolete once everyone gets online and has their newspapers delivered right to their computer every morning. It'll save lots of trees, newsprint & ink.
