Stefan Jacoby, Volkswagen of America, Inc., Pres. & CEO was on C-SPAN this morning and was asked this question by a caller, "Why did you move away from Detroit and move to rural America?"
I knew that the questioner knew the answer as I did. Mr. Jacoby walk around the question with a typical windy answer ( "and talked for forty-five minutes and nobody understood a word that he said,").
The answer is cheap labor with no union intrusion.

Smart company. Why would a company remain in a state that has to pay employees a higher union wage when they can move and make their operating expenses cheaper giving the company a bigger profit margin.
ReplyDeleteMr. Jacoby should have just answered the question straightforward. I hate it when they dance around questions never really answering them.
I'm so glad I'm free from all those games people play.
