The wind has blown all the bird food from the feeders; plus the feeder are wet and crusty.
Time for some bird feeder maintenance.
Later today I get to see the Daytona 500.

  1. We haven't had any wind or rain here since that windy stormy day. And it was so windy on that day that it didn't allow any of the rain to land in the feeders. The next morning the feeders still had seed in them and were surprisingly dry just as the socks were.

  2. thanks for posting pics, glad she liked them
my cats brought 2 robins in this week....so i am back to blocking my cat door again, and all felines are kicked out for now...

I don't know if that bird feeder in the tree is bringing them closer to the kitties or not, but I have noticed more birds in the house. One of the days, I hadn't fed them yet, and they seem to get impatient if they don't get their cat chow and go get breakfast and bring it in the house

  3. I've never seen a Robin feeding in the bird feeders at our house. Our cats usually catch the brightly colored red Ky. Cardinal...the male. The female Ky Cardinals are just too fast for the cats.

I don't think stalking & hunting has anything to do with being hungry for my cats because they just catch them and leave them on the ground...no cat eats them nor do they eat any other creature that they catch except for the chipmonks. They must realy taste good to cats.
