Well I can't believe it is 23 degrees this morning. That is quite a change 21 degrees warmer at this time yesterday.
The temperature swings are all right if we are prepared and with heat. Unprepared and without heat are a different matter. Last year at the end of January and into February we were without a furnace and electricity and water. We did have gas on our cook-top and our water heater. Which was more than all electric homes in the area.
I hope that you never have to do without power again for such a long time, although you were one of the lucky ones on your street that you did have your gas cook stove burners for heat, but that's not a safe or efficient heat for any extended period of time and has to be monitored carefully. The novelty of being without power ends quickly after a few hours and then it becomes a headache.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are warm inside of your house and that the weather is beginning to warm a little. It is snowing profusely here right now and replacing whatever little bit of snow that the sun had melted today.
I love you
