In the upper left corner; use your left hand and raise it to your screen and touch the area above your left hand. There is box there to type words to search this blog. Type in the word "Compost" and that will take you to places on this blog where Tom write about saving the soil by using leaves and grasses tall grasses (hay) and short grasses (lawn clipping) chipped limbs from trees ( I have a chipper and it is a dangerous machine, be extremely careful with chippers.) to make compost. Fishing and garden worm love and create very nice compost. Vegetables added to the compost pile make the compost great. Meat you feed to the cats and dogs and their waste creates manure. Leave it be or place in your trash can. The kitty litter is not good for your compost pile as it is clay. Clay is used by the planet to line the water tables below the topsoil. The topsoil is broken down compost. Clay turns to rock.

Swimming pools, ponds, lakes, rivers and oceans create clouds that drop rain on the planet earth.
Compost holds the moisture that comes from rain. Plants and trees use the moisture. Plants and trees drop leaves and create compost.
