LG (looking good) Air Conditioners

I went to bed early and I am up now.
Our air conditioning unit outside died and the man said I would have to replace it 3700 dollars. We cannot afford to do that at the moment and we decided to get 2 window units from Home Depot and a portable unit for the living room as it does not have any window openings suitable for a Window unit.
Our outside unit that died was a 3 ton unit and we have about 1175 square feet to cool.

"I saw this on the internet. Take the square footage of your home and multiply it by 25, then divide this amount by 12,000. This will tell you the size (ton) you will need for your central a/c. Example....1175 sq ft. home multiply by 25 equals 29, 375 divided by 12,000 equals 2.44. You would
need a  2 or 3  ton unit.

2400  = 2 tons
3600  = 3 tons

   Mom had 5000 btu unit in her bedroom
I now have 6000 btu unit in Allison's room.
I now have 6000 btu unit in Eli's room.
I now have 12000 btu unit in the living room
for a total of 29000 btu.
I calculated  29375 btu

Our stove died, we had to get a new one.
Mom wanted a new front door so we bought one
and
on our way home the van went up in smoke we had to go to the bank to fix the van.
Last week our air conditioner went out.
