Good Morning,
We have Holidays in the United States that have been promoted heavily or come by popular demand. I think of the queens in Spain that hired sailors to find gold and food in distance lands. Others have traveled the distances and found places unknown to us but who promoted those travels and made them famous. Why do we know the story of Christopher Columbus of Magellan or Captain Cook?
Through heavy research we have discovered more on the discovery of the Americas but who promoted the idea of the New World. Who got those travels into text books in the 1900’s.
