Follow the Lines

For the Grand Children:

I was taught to sweep, clean floors and vacuum following the pattern at left. I was taught by my step mother to clean to the next square at a time. When vacuuming I follow the straight lines and the next line I do one/half (yellow) of what I just did and so on. 

I do not sweep or vacuum in a fan shape.
