I just man handled and removed my lawn mower deck. I sharpened the blades and just now came in for a lunch break. Last fall I tried taking the blades off without removing the deck; I was unsuccessful at that time, so I waited until spring. I have already mowed twice this year and the cut looked ragged each time. In a few moments I will put the blades back on and replace the deck under the lawn tractor.

  1. You and Jimmy are doing the same thing except that he never removes the deck, just the blades when he sharpens them. Our grass is really growing and needs mowing every week, but our neighbor mows his twice a week. Everything looks pretty over here and I see bumblebees hovering around in a bush outside my window. I like bumble bees.

  2. It is very nice here too. I put some oil on my blade bolts hoping that it would be easier to take off without removing the deck. The books say to remove the deck.
We have bees, cats, birds and occasional deer. The hummingbirds should be here soon.
