Radiation from Japan will be a constant

Radiation from Japan will be a constant until it is contained.
Radiation that is not contained will cause problems until it contained or moved. It cannot be dissolved as in wiping it away as you do your counter top, it will just transfer to your cloth.
When they say one thousand years to decay they mean one thousand years.
An open container of radiation is giving off radiation and it will do so for a thousand years.
Putting a concrete Dixie cup over it did not work in Japan. The genie got out of the bottle and he is radioactive uranium.
How do you contain a duster like this?

  1. Nuclear power plants are just too dangerous. Can you imagine an earthquake of that magnitude like they had in Japan happening here? None of our power plants could withstand it here either.
