Declaration of Independence

Outside the birds are singing as we celebrate our Independence from Briton. Briton wanted us to be dependent but we wanted no part of it. So we declared our Independence.
It is a pleasant day here in Western Kentucky. We were out on the deck and the birds were singing all around us. The sky was a light gray and the temperature was 72 degrees with a mild comfortable breeze. Very pleasant. No violence anywhere. We have laws and they are obeyed. We have abundance because we share the wealth across the nation.
The edges of our borders are teaming with decadence and violence. They want to push into the states but are kept out by law. We can offer them law and if they do not take it we can move our borders south. It is different here in the United States. This is not Iraq or Afghanistan.
Diplomacy is a good word and we use it but if that does not work then we become the conqueror. We offer a choice.
Theodore Roosevelt had it right about carrying a big stick.

  1. Happy 4th! It's sunny and hot here and a good day for a barbecue under the shade tree. We might even play in the sprinklers if we get too hot. Have a wonderful day.
