In Crittenden County we have a patch of road that is dangerous for pedestrian traffic. It is Kentucky and Federal property and can be fixed by agreement by both agencies.
The areas concerned are two fold:
The 1st is a stop light crosswalk needed in front of the Creekside Apartments where a lot of elderly and disabled voters live. It is a dangerous crossing for pedestrians because of the adjacent hill with limited visibility.
The 2nd is the mile of roadway from Pemida to the curve (Curve Inn) at Main Street. The area has no sidewalk and it is dangerous for any pedestrian traffic.
We live in country that has built roads from one end of the United States to the other end of the United States. The roads are comfortable for road traffic.
Our problem is that tax payers in Crittenden County need roads that are suitable for all forms of traffic and that includes foot ware as well as tire wear.

  1. That sure would give lots of people jobs if wherever there is a road, there is also sidewalks & bike paths. And all of these would benefit everyone.
