Tax Base or What Ever Happened To America's Tax Base

What ever happened to our tax base in the United States?

1. Early in the 1960's corporations started moving out of the United States.

2. In 1980 Reaganomics removed government warehousing from Government installations.

3. Manufacturers followed suit and ended warehousing in favor of supple and demand. (1000 orders and companies start manufacturing a product where as before products were warehoused in company and government warehouses.) We see that best when we wait weeks for a part for a car or washing machine.

4.Corporate Raiders raided retirement funds from companies they bought and sold in the 1980's and 1990's leaving employees helpless in the eyes of the law. Laws changed but it was too late for thousands of Americans.

5. Corporate America and People started placing their income in foreign banks to avoid our tax base.

6. The Free Trade Agreement balanced the supply and demand across the planet raising our cost of living and lowering our overall wealth.

7. George Walker Bush's ‘Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 cut our tax base by 1.6 trillion dollars.

And we wonder what happened to our lives. The only folks not complaining are Corporate America, investors and insurance companies.

  1. The insurance companies should be complaining because between you, me, Jimmy & Laurel Medicare has probably spent more on us than we have paid in. When we were younger we were healthier.

You have a good life just like mine. We both have so many toys we probably couldn't count them. And we both are blessed with money to pay our bills, and eat too. We both have a couple of cars and are considered rich by other nations. You & I can travel great distances to see our children if we so desire. What more could you ask for? I feel blessed that we have a corporate America, investors and insurance companies. I love being FREE and I wouldn't have it any other way.
