Why do people often vote against their own interests?
It's because people don't like being told what's best for them by politicians and also all the secret deals have been brought to the light because BO's administration is being watched so closely because of being the first black to be elected president. I don't think that the people paid such close attention to politicians and all the deal making that goes on in government as they are today.
