Time for a little coffee. It is 36 degrees here in Marion, Kentucky. I have the cover on the pool. I was using a block and tackle to place the cover on the pool with MotherKitty when Charlie and Debbie came over and offered an extra hand which proved to be quick and easy.
Now all I have to do is drop the water level and drain the lines of any water. I will also place pieces of nylon stockings over the drain holes to keep bugs from making a winter home in them and still offer drainage and air to the lines.
The block and tackle made any lifting easy on the back.

After you drain your garden hose of any water for the winter. Coil the hose and screw the female end of the hose into the male end to keep mice from making a home in the hose. In the summer this works to keep mud daubers from plugging your hose with their hive.

  1. I'm glad that you had help with your pool cover. It's always nice when you have plenty of helping hands around. It's makes things easier and much more fun too. Thanks for the garden hose tips.
    Have a nice sunny day.
    love you
