There must be some study as to how quickly a computer operates compared to the amount of computer Central Processing Unit (CPU) and the amount of memory and hard drive space?
So far what I have seen is when a hard drive gets over 30% of capacity it slows all process down. So if you had 10 meg or 100 gig of free space it only works comparatively to how big the CPU was plus or minus of 30% of drive space.
All of my computers have worked swiftly when new. It is only when the drive space is filled with programs that my speed slows down.
