There are clouds to our south and I think that this gray sky I am looking at will be blue in about 30 minutes. Motherkitty is scrambling around to get to work. Something happened I think she is late.
I will do another bird count this morning but I see no birds at our feeder.

ReplyDeleteI don't have any opinion on the stimulus package but why did it have to be signed in such a hurry when Obams still hasn't even signed it into law yet?
As I was watching the hearings I heard them say that they were going to give everyone 48 hours to read the stimulus package before a vote would take place and then they didn't. I also kept searching online for the stimulus package which was supposed to be posted for us to read and never found it. I have now...I found all seven versions of the stimulus package. Do they always pass bills up there in washington without even reading their content or is this something new? Like get it passed quickly before anyone knows what we are doing?
This country is like it is because everyone was living on CREDIT and not on a budget that they could afford. Even our government & city governments. Now they expect those who were living within their means and staying within their budgets to bail them out. I don't mind helping, but I wish the government would be more responsible spending money they don't have and that doesn't belong to them YET...that goes for the past eight years too and for this administration. They are not teaching our children good management so I hope that our children are not being taught to look up to the government and these poorly elected officials who are on a spending spree with borrowed money.
When a company moves overseas and a man gets laid off he has to find work. He may have to travel if he is fit to travel to find a job. The next company he works for will not hire him full time nor give him good benefits ( the attitude is you are lucky to have a job, don't complain.)

Young folks out of High School have no clue what health benefits and retirement systems are, they learn at McDonald's. They think that is normal - and today in the last 30 (from 1980) years that is normal. They have no history, just grandparents talking about the good old days.
How did things change when we just step one foot in front of the other.
Who promoted free trade with other countries so that it became more profitable for companies to move overseas and then ship their products back to the U.S. for sale to us? You move where you have to in order to provide for your family.
ReplyDeleteNot all young kids out of HS are working at McDonalds. Some are going to college and working at a bank. Some are firemen, EMT's, work in physical therapy departments, for ambulance services, childcare centers, are paralegals and electricians...(these are just the grandchildren)
Who said that every family in the U.S. should own their own house and then went about to lower the standards required to buy a house?
What happened to personal responsibility & accountability? This problem that we are having with the collapse of the economy is all a credit problem. People spending more than they bring in and now the government is going to do the same. I hope it works, but I think it would have straightened itself out all by itself with no government intervention. But that's just my opinion. Maybe if I were younger I might feel differently.
