Last night it rained while temperature hovered around the freezing point. My daughter Kitten Yarn said that icicles were hanging from her trees in her yard(about 1700); when she told me this I looked out here in Marion and I saw maybe a dusting of haze. Now this morning we do have some icicles but the temperature is 35 degrees so the melting of ice will be fast. Motherkitty went to work yesterday evening about 1700 and worked until 2100; then shopped and came home and she no problem with ice.
Motherkitty's van got hit by a rock on her windshield a few days ago and the glass man is coming by this morning to replace the windshield; to keep the weather out of the van I will put it in our garage while he changes it.

  1. Sorry to hear about Motherkitty's van and good that she made it safely home before the icy roads appeared. We only had rain and around 4 AM it looked almost icy and shimmery, but I didn't go out, only let the cat in. It's raining hard right now, but rather warm out for this time of year.

  2. The ice never got bad here but Kitten Yarn said that ice was hanging from her trees yesterday morning. Western Kentucky warmed nicely up so Kitten Yarns ice melted quickly.
    It did rain all day.
