I Can't Write But I Do Write

That is the way it is for me, there are demons of the mild nature, laziness and sloth that creeps into my being and says, "just sit still" ( not the stillness of being and knowing but just sit because I do not want to do something).

I am not evil but I anger at folks that do not behave.
I am mostly still, active and very much in tune with the planet Earth and it's inhabitants.
I write because I love to release emotion.
The photo was taken at a NARFE Meeting in Trigg County, Kentucky in the city limits or just outside the city limits of Cadiz.
There is a balance in life active and still, war and peace, plus and minus, sweet and tart, hot and cold, sick or well, good and bad, yin and yang, work and play.
We all live on this planet we call Earth. God has his own name for it but we as a society have named it Earth. There is not any way to get off the planet very easy. Most options we have are stay, jump, fly, hop or die. The Space industry can push us beyond our local boundaries but not for any length of time. Unless we get shot into space and forgotten (wished well and maybe see you some day.)
So what are our options? Survive, that is where all the balance comes into play. Someone has to figure out how to start a fire, go find a habitat (home or cave).
I wrote this awhile back for the folks that feel independent: Click Here.

Been There Done That!

Good Morning,
It is a rainy day in Western Kentucky, time to do some indoor chores.
I do computer Jigsaw Puzzles via FaceBook (in the last month), Sudoku via my Smartphone (I used to buy the books last year). I learned to make web pages via my sons Commodore 64 and Netscape Communicator (Netscape Composer).
I, like everyone else my age, do something to keep mentally fit. I have a hard time with physical things because my back has been abused by physical strains, my ankles ache and of course old age has added its bumps.
I begged my wife to get me a smartphone. I am not a phone person so why have a Smartphone? Well I do look up the local river stages, weather radar, weather reports, I do text and write lists and write a journal with my Smartphone.
I am a "Soap Box" type person, persistent, boisterous and annoying.
So what am I doing with a job like District I Vice President?
Well we have to move forward and folks my age are reluctant or really do not care about all this technology.
Been There Done That!
I have done most of my chores but there is one more I think I will just wait on it. It has been raining steady all morning. No thunderstorms just a steady mild wet rain.

Thursday, May 30, 2013

Good Morning,
I just finished mowing, the ground and grass were dry, no dew this morning. Very dry and dusty. Hopefully rain will fall tonight and tomorrow, if not I may not mow for a while. I will do more weed eating later this afternoon.
I feel good and yes we went swimming last night after mom got home from work. The pool was 81 degrees.
We just had some good healthy rain showers (garden good showers). The pool temperature is 82 degrees.

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Good Morning,
Yesterday it finally warmed up enough to get into the pool and clean it. After I cleaned it mom came in for her first dip into the pool this year.
I have chores to do today, clarify the  pool and kill the algae. Hook up another hose to our pool heater, Weed Eat. Mow and clean pool.
I feel good this morning.
I think I will do a Facebook  Jigsaw. All my jigsaw pictures mom took.

Good Morning,
We had a great day yesterday. We went to to Jason's Mom's to celebrate Memorial Day. We cooked out, played ball and Jason and the kids went roaming in his childhood memory tracks. It was a great adventure, bones, rail spikes, colorful rocks snakes, turtles and freight train brake pads.

Memorial Day

Good Morning,
Today is Memorial Day and we fly the United States Flags over the graves who gave their lives for their country.

Sunday, May 26, 2013

Good Morning,
I am up very early. The outside temperature in this darkness is 60 degrees. It may have rained the clouds are not moving very much.
I rotor-tilled half the garden yesterday. I will take a break today and rest. We may go swimming if the pool warms up It got to 76 degrees yesterday with the heater running. At daylight I will start it again. Hopefully we will have some sunshine today and that will warm up the pool.

Saturday, May 25, 2013

Good Morning,
It was 45 degrees here at home. I checked the pool last night before going to bed and it was 65 degrees. I have no clue what it is this morning but 65 it will not be.
Mom wanted to go swimming today but it is not 80 degrees in the pool and not even 76 degrees when i went in last week.
I did chip my woodpile and made the woodpile smaller then I mowed the yard. Today I will rototill the garden if I can.
I feel good this morning.
I just hook up my garden hose solar heater to warm the pool up. At the moment it is 70 degrees and mom wants to go swimming. I am sure in 4 hours it may be 80 with the sun and the heater.

Friday, May 24, 2013

Good Morning,
We have sunshine and about 57 degrees here at home. I mowed a little and chipped some branches from my shrub pile which is getting smaller. The scrub pile is atop of the stump of our Hackberry which we lost during an ice storm. Things are pretty well decayed in that pile. Some hard woods need to be cut smaller but overall things are fine in that scrub pile. It will be almost flat by the end of this year. Hopefully a flower bed next year.
I feel good this morning though I had a reaction from something I ate yesterday and lost it in the rest room and trash can.
Anyway I am fine this morning.
The brush pile is behind the pool in the lower photo and alive and well in the top photo.

The pool temperature dropped this week to 65 degrees. I have been in it twice this May The first time it was 80 degrees and the second time it was 76 degrees. I will go out and chip some more brush and mow the lawn. Tomorrow I may roto-till the garden.

This Afternoon it is Revolution

Good Afternoon,
It is closer to evening that to noon. The title is about revolution and the way our county changes. There is a ballot box, a soap box and a wall of protest. We are in the midst of poverty vs big corporations. We seen this before with Moses, Mahatma Gandhi, Jesus, Unions and labor practices, Martin Luther King, Lincoln and the 1960's revolution.

In 1980 Ronald Reagan told America that Labor Unions were corrupt and America believed him. Ever since that time Corporate America has been stealing your money under the table with fees and lost benefits. Now they have high unemployment and they "Cherry Pick" the planet for the lowest labor costs without benefits.
So it is now the time to revolt and change the way the planet benefits it's labor force. We know that we can change with our strong relentless voices and words. I give Walmart a good slap in the face when they mistreat my wife. My revolution is my pen and paper and a constant explanation as to who hears my words.
I have a formula that works well.

1.Write the letter.
2. Send one copy to your local, "Letters to the Editor"
3. Send each of your Congressman a copy of the letter and tell them you posted it on your blog and sent it to your local, "Letters to the Editor".
4. Post it on your Blog and Facebook.

Sometimes the World is Harsh
This is the new normal in our society.

There is never enough money to go around these days. When you work for the slave type employer they work you like Scrooge and really do not care about you.
We our down to our last cent with seven more days to go before I get paid. This is the new normal in our society.

It is an old truth. The Bosses Whip wins out until the Revolution.

We know if they keep us unemployed they can decide what they pay us.
So their best policy is to keep unemployment high.

Good Morning,
The area has some wind damage but not too much. We may see some on the evening news. As I speak our prayers go out to the families that have lost their family and friends this week. We are sometimes spared because of the hills in the area we live in. Tornado's bounce or leap over us on occasions. Winds do fell trees and rip off roofs.
I feel good this morning.
I worked on my power washer, new gas and cleaned the spark plug. I will try to fire it up after lunch.

The Pool is ready

Good Morning,
That thunderstorm just past over us very quickly. It woke me and I got up at 0400. It has past and I will go out at daylight and see what has moved. everything seems okay in this area of the country.
Something closed my eyes yesterday, I am not sure what it was? Some flying debris small enough to cause me a problem.
After the rain clears I will go back into the pool and clean up any new debris. I did notice some flying dandelion flyer's on top of the pool as I cleaned it yesterday. I will see more of them mixed with the water this afternoon.
Before that I will try to start my power washer.
There is a storm just now hitting us. The signal went out on our satellite dish. and the wind is very strong. There are three bands coming our way. The first just went by.

Certain Dilemmas

I find that working for nothing does not mow my lawn or cut my weeds. I do not barter my web service, I just donate my labor.
Some folks have money in reserve and pay for the service to cut/cutdown my weeds, wash my dishes, wash and dry my clothes etc.

It looks like Christmas

Good Morning,
Children are laying on our couch. It is 0630. Ah no school!

Sunday Morning

Good Morning,
Last night we went to see our granddaughter dance at a recital in Murray, Kentucky. I do not have picture but mom took some with her camera. I used the Sony Camcorder but I think I did a poor job of taking the movie; two out of three dances she did did not come out right. Some day I may get it right.
I checked to pool this morning and it was 76 degrees. The normal outside temperature was 70 so the pool will be great this afternoon to get into to clean and set up my steps.
Here is a photo taken by me at the recitals end,

The Contract

A contract is an agreement having a lawful object entered into voluntarily by two or more parties:
When I first joined the Navy I signed a contract to obey Military regulation and to protect our country.

1968: When I first joined the United States Federal Service I signed a contract to work for less pay, to obey Federal Regulations, receive a pension and good health benefits. Less pay in the long run would help me receive my pension and health benefits when I would get older. At the time I started working for the Federal Government jobs in the United States were Union Scale and the Federal Government paid much less than Union Scale.

2013: Jobs in the United States in 2013 are much less than Federal Paying Jobs. Union Scale is not the average wage as it was in 1969. Walmart and McDonald wages are the norm.
Wages in the United States are closer to World Wage Scales.

The United States Congress borrowed my money to use for their benefits and does not want to raise taxes to pay me back; they would rather borrow from China and look he other way.
Here they are agreeing to look the other way.

Good Morning,
I assume today is Friday, It seems we had nothing better to do about the name of this day so Friday is the last day of the work week.
I feel good this morning physically and mentally.

The Federal Government Bureaucracy is only 8% of the United States population.

Good Morning,
I am up early; I have been up for at least 45 minutes. Did a little pasting on my other blog (DVP) this morning (some words from JFK).
I grew up with my grandmother so I want all grandmothers taken care of, either by me or my government. A women can iron all day, wash clothes, wash dishes, take care of kids, obey her husband (old school) and allowed to die in poverty or set aloft on a iceberg is pretty harsh is this space age. I earned all my benefits. And now you change course because you do not want the government to do any maintenance.

The Federal Government Bureaucracy is only 8% of the United States population.
Our Government is as big as our eligible voting population. How can you make it smaller (take away the vote).

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

Good Morning,
Today is Tuesday an last night i went to our local Crittenden County Coalition for a Drug-Free Community.
In June there will be a talk at the Ed Tech Center.
Today is Tuesday and I feel good physically and mentally. My endurance is not too swift and I cannot run any more. Too much walking across the dam on slick ice for a quarter mile; it look like this:
The wind swept water would cover the dam with ice in the winter. Most times it never snowed it was just water flying over the dam and leaving a layer of ice sometimes looking like this( round slippery hunks of frozen sticks and things) plus places where it was covered dally with layers of melted by the sun slickness. We took baby and very careful steps for a quarter of a mile until we got to the 118 steps up to the top of the dam.

Mothers Day Was Nice

Good Morning,
Digging post holes this morning; pounding them into the ground did not work (too much movement). I am setting the posts in rock and if that does not work then cement.
I had a wonderful day yesterday and so did my wife, my daughter and her mother in law. We ate at Olive Garden, the mom's went shopping at Bed and Beyond and then we all went to a movie on "Mothers Day". It was a kid flick, "IRON MAN III".

The very happy mom's.

Sunday, May 12, 2013

Good Morning,
Who has time to count the days? Somebody did and somebody does. This is the second day of rest this week. Who figured that out? The days or the rest? Anyway today is Mothers Day for those have mothers alive or memory of mom. I am not so lucky, I have no memory of my birth mother. I have thee step mothers who did help me and raise me.
I feel good this morning mentally and physically.

Saturday, May 11, 2013

Good Morning,
I am watching the astronauts on a space walk 200 plus miles above the planet earth. I also worked on NARFE business over on my DVP Blog. If everything works out properly I will save $6000 yearly.
I feel good this morning and mentally I seem fine.

Friday, May 10, 2013

Good Morning,
There are several things on my mind this morning, Alzheimer's disease, my health, how do I get folks to get smart phones or computers and how do I get young folks to see the elderly. One answer is advertising which for us (the elderly) very expensive.
I have been exploiting the blogs, FaceBook and Twitter with a constant barrage of words.
Do the young really care about the elderly?

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

Good Morning,
I still have that sleepiness that hangs about the body sometimes. Mom is getting ready for work this morning.
As I look outside I see fog. I may mow part of the grasses in our yard today; most of it is really wet. I would rather wait until tomorrow but I can't trust the weather these days as they are unpredictable.
I shocked the pool yesterday and hopefully it will clear up. Yesterday I bought some pool clarifier so I will use it today; hopefully it will do the job.
This year I will go into the pool every day, last year I waited for mom so I waited until she felt like swimming. That was a mistake as it made it impossible to maintain. The pool temperature is 56. I will get my cover out and warm the pool up.
I feel good this morning and I have been mentally active; websites, NARFE, Coalition, blogs, chores, Jigsaw puzzles and Facebook Pages. I am not great at exercise at this stage in my life. I do have the Wii, exercise bike, pool and garden; hopefully they will keep me active enough.

Grandmother Run over by kid grab assing in a Walmart Store.

Good Morning,
My cold is on it's last legs. Mom may be in trouble at work for missing work with her cold. She worked one day with a cold and that did not help them or her. She took off work when she felt miserable. Walmart handles the sick like fowl beef if it looks good who cares. Their attitude sucks the big one. I can see Sam Walton hands scratching the surface of the earth and grasping nothing. I think he was trying to put sense where it belongs and grasps nothing.
Nothing I can do I just work here? Or Nothing I can do it is store policy.
I feel good this morning morning and I am not sure of mom. Mentally I am fine and kicking mental bu:t as usual.
Our pool is ready but looking poorly. I need to clarify it, so it sparkles like a diamond. It is too cold to go into but in a week or so it will be fine.

Saturday, May 4, 2013

Good Morning,
Mom and I both have head colds. I think it is allergies because of the tremendous amount of pollen in the air this year. I may be wrong; my head is going crazy and I am starting to feel it in my throat too ( starting to swell).
Well we were very healthy for a very long time (over a year) and I guess things are just catching up to us. Mentally we are fine.
We both are doing Facebook Jigsaw puzzles (mine are mostly my own photos).
Well I hope you feel a lot better than us. I think it is a good day to read a book or watch a movie.
I have been doing a lot of NARFE Stuff this last week.

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Good Morning,
I spent the morning working on the fence around the garden and I took a break for lunch. While indoors eating lunch the pool man came by and got the pool ready for use. It is not clear as of yet but it may be clear in two or three days. The temperature of the water is 58 degrees which is a little cool for just about everyone.
Hopefully it will be this clear by the middle of May.
